    Small chip/dent

    Hi I just picked up my order of the ceramic non-stick stick mini waffle maker at my local crate and barrel store. I noticed it has a small chip/dent on the grill surface.

    Just what I wanted!

    My double mini P/S waffle maker couldn’t hold a strong enough temperature, so I opted for this Dash waffle maker. I was sold on the ceramic coating and the reviews. I’d love a “Double Dash” if they’d make one, but this will do.

    Attached is a picture of my first batch. The first couple weren’t brown or crispy enough, and I found that not oiling the plates and leaving the waffle to cook two minutes after the light went off did the trick. I put a tablespoon of oil in my batter and the waffles do not stick to the plates with no oil spray. You can see that the waffles were browner and crispier in the latter half of the batch.

    I look forward to trying recipes in the booklet!

    Lovely Waffle Maker

    This is such a great bang for the buck. It doesn’t get as crispy as ideal, but it makes a damn good waffle when you run it through at least two cycles.
