Slushy & Frozen Drink Maker

The slushiest makers handy for making summer drinks to take to the pool. It makes about 3-4 glasses of drinks. In the images here, I made a lemonade slushie and added vodka to make vodka lemonade slushies. I filled mine up in my reusable yardstick and it was a fun drink to bring to the grill and the pool.

The machine is easy to use however requires a long prep time. The ice bowl needs to be chilled for hours before and I would appreciate not having to do that in advance. Also the slushies we make usually have the ice melt while swirling the drink itself so it becomes less slushy like consistency. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I wanted to like this one so much — the idea is great, the execution isnt quite there. It’s a lot of work and didnt quite work right. I ended up with cold water in the middle and minimal slush to my liquid. I had to find a way to remove the water from the middle so I could refill with ice and salt to get it cold enough to actually make the slush. Once that happened, it was decent. It’s a pain to set up and a pain to clean. Super loud too.

I think my husband’s texts sum it up pretty well… It’s fine if it’s your only option but I don’t think it’s worth the effort. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This slushy maker works well, as long as you follow the directions. Thi inner metal piece really needs to stay in the freezer for a day or two to be cold enough to freeze the drinks. I found it a bit tedious to do all of the required steps and it was somewhat difficult to follow the directions. I would suggest setting some time aside for that. We made our own slushies but I didn't like how we had to add salt to it. Because I try to avoid salt. And my family said the same thing. It's easy to assemble and set up.
