Ingredients
1½ pounds chicken wings (about 7 – 8 chicken wings), separated into drumettes and flats
2 teaspoons five spice powder, ground
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 dash cayenne pepper (optional)
1 dash smoked sweet paprika (optional)
¼ cup potato, tapioca, or corn starch
1 tablespoon scallion, sliced
Five Spice Sauce:
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha or hot sauce of choice

Instructions
Dry chicken wings with paper towels. Toss with five spice, salt, cayenne, paprika to coat thoroughly. Then toss with potato starch. Coat fully and dust off excess.
Place wings in single layer in Air Fryer, ensuring they do not touch, cooking in batches. Cook at 400°F for 20-25 minutes, shaking every 5 minutes, until wings are golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with remaining batches.
In small pot on the stovetop, combine maple syrup, garlic, soy sauce, and hot sauce on medium heat. Bring to a simmer and lower heat to low. Let cook 3-5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.
Drizzle sauce over chicken wings and top with scallions.
