NO CLEANUP NEEDED AT ALL WITH THIS TRICK!

I just purchased a Dash mini maker grill. I have a small George Foreman Lean Mean Grilling Machine, which is slanted so the grease drains off of it. I also hate having to clean the whole grill, so I always cover the heating elements with aluminum foil . And when the burger is done you just throw the aluminum foil away and there's nothing to clean! I wanted to do something similar with this mini maker grill! So I did! And it works amazingly well! Aluminum foil comes on rolls 12 inches wide, so I tear 6 inches off, and I tear that piece in half, and end up with 2 pieces of aluminum foil 6 inches square. Before I plug in the mini maker grill, I take these two pieces of aluminum foil and mold them to fit onto the grill. One for the bottom heating element, and one for the top heating element. I give each one a quick little spray of nonstick cooking spray, and I set them aside. I plug the grill in, and when it's hot, I toast my hamburger bun halves. When they're done, I lay the bottom piece of aluminum foil on the bottom grill, put my burger patty on it, lay the top piece of aluminum foil on top of the burger patty, and then I close the top half. Before anything starts cooking I bend the aluminum foil pieces upward slightly all the way around except for one small area in the front which I bend downward like a little V shaped trough. I find some small little container to use to catch the grease, and place it underneath the trough. I have a little object I place underneath the rear feet of the grill so that the grill with the V-shaped trough is slanted downward just a bit so that the grease drains into the little container. It sounds complicated, but it really is not, and it only takes a couple of minutes to set everything up with the aluminum foil! THIS WORKS LIKE A CHARM! All of the grease drains off of the grill into the container, and NOT ONE SINGLE SPECK OF GREASE GETS ON YOUR COUNTER OR ANYWHERE ELSE!! Not even on the grill! When you're done cooking your burger, lift off the top piece of aluminum foil, put your burger patty on your bun, and throw the aluminum foil pieces away. WHEN YOU'RE ALL DONE, THE GRILL IS AS CLEAN AS IT WAS WHEN IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY! THERE IS NOT ONE SPECK OF GREASE ANYWHERE ON THE GRILL, OR YOUR COUNTER, AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CLEANUP AT ALL! This works incredibly well! Once you've done it once or twice, it's second nature and it only takes a couple minutes! My George Foreman grill cooks a 4 ounce burger patty in about eight minutes. I find that this grill takes 10 minutes to cook a 4 ounce burger patty, which is not a problem at all! I like the fact that this grill is small, though I wish it really was about 1/2 - 1 inch larger in diameter! But I'm still very happy with it! Trust me, this aluminum foil trick is worth every second you spend doing it! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CLEANUP WHATSOEVER!

Love for grilling non-greasy foods

Like some reviewers, the lack of ease when collecting or cleaning the grease or drippings is a concern, but I mostly grill things like green onions to top a burger or mochi for a snack. The grill lines do make this a little hard to clean when cooking greasy or juicy food, but going in with a toothpick helps a lot.

Disappointed

Hamburgers do not cook evenly and juice runs out onto the counter. It's not easy to clean.
