The first batch I made were very crispy and the recipe made about double what I was expecting. You really only need 1 1/2 tbsp of batter at the most. The second batch I made didn’t harden at all, but still tasted good. Not sure what the difference was. Kids love these.

Not as thin as I thought.

I mixed up a batch of the basic waffle bowl recipe. It was time consuming to make them one at a time. Because of the hinged lid, it pushed the batter forward on every single bowl. Therefore, several didn’t go all the way to the top in the back, but overflowed in the front. In the thicker place, the bowls were tough. Instead of drying more, they became tougher when I tried to eat one later. This will probably get donated to a local thrift store.
