Three homemade caramel apples on a stick and heavily coated in thick, glossy caramel and generously covered with crushed peanuts around the bottom half.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons powdered sugar

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 granny smith apples, cored and cut into 8 slices each

Optional Additions:

  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Shredded coconut
  • Chopped salted peanuts
  • Rainbow sprinkles
  • Crumbled cookies

Instructions

  1. Plug in the Fondue Pot. Set the Fondue Pot to medium heat.

  2. In the Fondue Pot, add brown sugar, butter, milk, and powdered sugar. Whisk together and allow to come to a gentle boil. Boil for 5-8 minutes or until the mixture starts to thicken, stirring regularly.

  3. Once thickened, reduce temperature to the lowest setting. Whisk in the vanilla and allow to cool for 15 minutes. As it cools, it will continue to thicken.

  4. While cooling, set out apple slices and additional ingredients if desired.

  5. Dip, dunk, and enjoy!
