Classic Cheese Pizza

Ingredients

  • 16-ounce store-bought pizza dough, thawed if frozen 

  • 2-3 tablespoons all-purpose flour 

  • ½ cup pizza sauce 

  • ¾-1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded 

  • Salt and pepper, to taste 

  • 2-3 tablespoons fresh Parmesan cheese, grated 

  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried (optional) 

  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional) 

  • Fresh basil, rough chopped (optional) 

  • Drizzle of olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Plug in the Pizza Griddle. On a lightly floured pizza paddle or cutting board, roll out dough to about a 12-inch circle.  

  2. Place the dough on the Lower Cooking Surface. Add pizza sauce in a light layer all over the pizza, leaving about ¼ inch crust around the edges.  

  3. Top the pizza with shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Add Parmesan cheese, oregano, and red pepper. 

  4. Close the Griddle and cook for 10-12 minutes, or desired crispiness. The cheese should be melted, the bottom crust firm and brown.

  5. Transfer the pizza to a cutting board and allow to rest for 7-10 minutes. Add chopped basil, more spices, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil as desired.  

  6. Slice it up, serve, and say “cheeeeesssee!”
