Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients, in the order listed, into the Bread Pan fitted with the Kneading Blade. Secure the Bread Pan in the Bread Maker.

  2. Plug in the Bread Maker. Press the MENU button to select Dough. Press START/STOP to begin the dough-making process.

  3. Set a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 450°F. Brush an 8×12×½-inch baking dish or a 15×10½-inch jellyroll pan with 1 tablespoon of the olive oil.

  4. When the cycle is complete, transfer the dough into the prepared pan. With your fingers, press the dough to fill the pan. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rest in a warm place until the dough doubles in volume.

  5. Using your fingertips, poke dimples in the dough at 1-inch intervals. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle with Fleur de sel or coarse salt.

  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack to cool in the pan.

  7. Cut into squares and serve — this true breadwinner pairs with any main dish!
