Instructions

  1. Allow roast to reach room temperature. (Roasting cold meat can affect the texture of the cooked meat, resulting in a tougher roast.) Season all sides with salt and pepper, using 1 teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon pepper.

  2. On the stove top in large frying sauté pan, add oil and heat on medium-high heat. Add roast and brown it all sides, turning to cook each side for 3-4 minutes.

  3. Once all sides are browned, remove and set aside.

  4. Add onions to frying pan and sauté on medium-high heat, about 3-5 minutes.

  5. Set up the Slow Cooker. Add roast, onions, and remaining ingredients to the Slow Cooker. Cover and cook on Low heat for 6-8 hours or on High heat for 3-4 hours. Cook until meat is tender and cooked through.

  6. For a full meal, add potatoes, carrots, or other preferred veggies to the Slow Cooker towards the end of the cooking process.

  7. Slice it up and serve. Cheers to Snoopy and his love of root beer!
