Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon cream of tartar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 ½ cups milk

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Garnish

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and cream of tartar.

  2. In a separate large bowl, whisk the eggs with vanilla. Slowly pour in the milk and melted butter, mixing until smooth.

  3. Add the dry ingredients to wet mixture in three batches, stirring until just combined. Batter will be slightly lumpy. For fluffier waffles, let batter rest for 5 minutes before cooking.
