Toaster Oven Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 large egg

  • ½ cup shortening

  • ½ cup packed dark brown sugar

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon milk

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your Toaster Oven to 375°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips.

  2. Using an electric mixer on low speed, beat until combined. Increase speed to medium and beat for 3 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed. Add chocolate chips and mix on low until evenly blended.

  3. Line the Baking Tray with parchment paper. Using a small scoop, place 4 scoops of dough about 1 inch apart. Place the Baking Tray on the Rack in the Toaster Oven.

  4. Set the Function Dial to Bake and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown. Repeat until all dough is used.

  5. Cool slightly on a rack before indulging in this classic treat – still warm and a little gooey is pure perfection!
