Instructions
Place all ingredients into the Baking Pan in the order listed and secure the pan in the Bread Maker with the Kneading Blade.
Plug in the Bread Maker, press the MENU button, select White Bread with a Medium color setting, choose the 1 lb or 1.5 lb loaf size, and press START/STOP to begin.
At 8–10 minutes into the knead cycle, open the lid and check the dough. It should feel tacky but not stick to your fingers; if it feels dry, add water 1 teaspoon at a time, and if it feels sticky, add flour 1 tablespoon at a time.
You’ll hear 10 beeps when the second rise ends. Check if the dough has doubled in size. Press a finger gently into the corner of the dough. If the indentation springs back immediately, let it rise longer and check again in fifteen to twenty minutes. If the indentation holds and more than fifteen minutes remain before baking, gently pull the dough from the sides of the Pan to deflate it by about one-third.
When the baking cycle finishes, remove the Baking Pan from the machine, turn the loaf out onto a wire rack, and let it cool completely before slicing.
This loaf does it all! Serve sliced or toasted with butter or jam, pile it high with your favorite sandwich fillings, or pair it with soups, salads, and even sweet treats like bread pudding
