Instructions

Chocolate Waffles

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the buttermilk, egg, and oil until smooth. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  3. Preheat the Dash Mini Waffle Maker and lightly brush the Cooking Surface with oil if needed. Pour about 3 tablespoons of batter into the Waffle Maker and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

Chocolate Glaze

  1. Melt the chocolate chips and butter in a double boiler over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Add the honey and continue stirring until fully combined.

  2. Stir in the hot water until the glaze reaches a thick, smooth consistency.

  3. Drizzle the glaze over the warm waffles and go loco for cocoa!

Chef's Tips

To save time, melt the chocolate in the microwave, pausing to stir every 10-15 seconds until smooth.
